One of the most important questions for an expat is: Where is the food?
In Brussels, finding good food is extremely easy. And sometimes the choice was so overwhelming that we went to the same place over and over again.

Our absolute favorite. I still don't know it's because of the menu, or the incredibly nice lady running the place. Or was it because she spoke Spanish?

Very good restaurant on the border or Ixelles and St. Gillis.
And an extremely good place for meeting your boss.

The restaurant I could not find anymore, but then stumbled into again.

Pretty old fashioned art nouveau style restaurant near Place Stéphanie. Mostly fish. The waterzooi was excellent!

Libanese restaurant with nice terrace. Great view on wednesday evening summer crowd on Place du Châtelain.

The other-Italian-in-Wiener Same owner as the first-Italian-in-Wiener. Good food.
They are out of Calvados.

Extremely big restaurant in student area. Opened very late.
Come hungry.

Nice maroc style restaurant in St. Gillis. Specialists in cous cous (great!)
It might take a while, though.

Pretty old fashioned restaurant in Ste Catherine.
Pretty expensive too...

Could be a vegetarian place. It's not, because the chili con carne was great.
They don't care if one makes a one-hour mobile phone call...

Expensive, but a good place to read about the history of Brussels.

Wow. Lots of Japanese people here. Which told us the food must be good.

The map on resto.be is wrong, so be sure to remember the exact address.

Pintxos restaurant in sushi-bar style. Pick a place and watch the tapas pass by.
Don't be surprised when the crowd outside takes a never ending interest in your activities.

Nice Vietnamese-Thai restaurant in Wiener.
Good alternative for the omnipresent Italian restaurants in the area.

Brasserie in Auderghem with a covered terrace. Due to the weather, we never saw the inside.
Interesting salads and Belgian dishes.
